{ October Studio AE Sneak Peek and New Stamps + New Steel Dies + New Cut Files from Technique Tuesday }

First, here is a little peek at the October Studio AE….

Photo Sep 29, 5 05 57 PM

Go check out the Technique Tuesday Web site! We've got a "September Surprise" for you! We've just released nine new steel dies, 13 stamp sets and 19 digital cut files.

You can see all of the new dies and stamps on the New for 2013 page. You'll find them in the first eight rows. You can find all of the the new cut files here and here.

Of our new dies, eight are designed to make accents for pocket page scrapbooks, traditional layouts and paper crafting projects. These high-quality steel dies easily cut paper, thin chipboard, decorative tape, balsa wood and more!

I created a card using Steel Die - Notebook Card (which also fits in a pocket page).

{ Laina Lamb Designs }

A while back, Laina Lamb asked me if I would be willing to make a few projects using her fabulous stamps and dies she creates. She sent me the August release stamps and dies. These products can be purchased at the My Favorite Things website!

For the card I used Enjoy The Journey stamp set Hit The Road and World Traveler Die-namics.

I used the same sets for the layout. The little planes are die cut from vellum and patterned paper. The stamps and dies were perfect for out recent trip to Croatia.

{ Impression Obsession DT challenge–Things that fly }

Hi and welcome to our  Impression Obsession challenge – Things that fly.

Our challenge starts today, September 19, and continues to the following Wednesday evening, September 25, at 10 PM.

Create a new project using  Impression Obsession stamps and post it on Impression Obsession Blog, between September 19 – 25. A winner will be chosen randomly to win a $25 gift certificate to the Impression Obsession store.

Here is my card.

Beautiful you by Daniela Dobson

First time using those cloud dies, love them. There are three different sizes. I stamped the Sunburst CAC at the edge. Stamped and cut the butterflies and added some pearls. Don’t you just love that sentiment. It’s from Warm Fuzzies Sentiments. I die cut the banner with a tail and used 3D foam adhesive to adhere the banner and one of the clouds.

I participated in a huge birthday bash, in July, for 10 Minute Craft Dash. That was so much fun and I haven’t had a chance to play again until today. It took me 9:51 to complete the card. It was very close to 10 minutes. I wasn’t very organized and didn’t have a plan. I will do better next time. This is 10 Minute Craft Dash #26.

Out theme this month is Mix and Match Collections. I decided to mix and match Samantha’s paper collection with her clear and rubber stamps.

Here is my card.

Just because by Daniela Dobson

Samantha Walker Supplies:

Giddy Up Girl paper collection
Cool Summer brads
Leafy Background Stamp
Buntings and Banners
Doilies & Lace

Other Supplies:

Therm O Web Adhesive and photo corners
Clearsnap ink and embossing powder
VersaMark ink
The Twinery Twine
Heidi Swapp Color Shine

I started by stamping the Leafy Background with VersaMark ink on white cardstock and heat embossing with white embossing powder.

Step 1 Daniela Dobson

I sprayed the cardstock with Heidi Swapp Color Shine in Tropicana Teal. Once it was dry I adhered it to a piece of patterned paper from Giddy Up Girl collection and that was my card base.

Step 2 Daniela Dobson

I stampeded tow different doilies from Doilies & Lace stamp set on white cardstock that I cut out. Step 3 Daniela Dobson

The two doilies were stacked on top of each other. I added a brad to the smaller, pink one and used 3D Foam adhesive to add dimension. The sentiment is from Buntings and Banners stamp set. I just cut it into a banner and tucked it under the small doily.

{ September Studio AE Blog Hop from Technique Tuesday }

Welcome to our September 2013 Blog Hop.  It's our third anniversary and we are celebrating with extra prizes this week.

Today we are featuring projects made with Daily Photo - Studio AE - September 2013.

Here is my layout.

You are loved by Daniela Dobson

This layout started with the pocket from Basic Grey and evolved from there. I knew there would be lots of journaling for this photo and this pocket with a card insert was perfect.

I stamped the first circle sentiment with blue ink and the second one is stamped with white ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. The circles flow from one corner to the other with the added enamel dots and the stars.

The flair button is from {A Flair For Buttons}.

For the pocket I added “first day of school” stamp from I Love School by Ali Edwards stamps set. I had this set for many years and I am only now able to use it. I see lots of school layouts in my future. The date is from In a Nutshell stamp set.

Not sure what it is with the “chalk” background and embellishments, but I love the style.
