{ Citrus Tree Studio Sneak Peek }

I was recently asked to join a kit club called Citrus Tree Studio. It's a sweet little community with beautiful monthly kits. Our June kit is going to be available for sale on June 5th. There are two different kits up for grabs this month.
I got to work with "Fruity Cutie Colors". It is bright and sunny and perfect for summer!

Here is what I can share with you.

I hope you can stop by and check us out.

{ CR84FN Color Challenge 29 and Mojo Monday 192 }

Here is a card I made for CR84FN color challenge: Plum, Light Plum and Kraft. I used Mojo Monday sketch 192.

I used Prima Sweet Fairy collection patterned paper for my base and added a stamped kraft bag. I stamped the bag with Impression Obsession Cover-a-card Roses CC043. I tucked in a little strip of crepe paper that I sprayed with Grape Escape Shimmerz Vibez. I stamped Impression Obsession Silhouette 16 (leaves) D5566 on cardstock with Violet and Thistle Clearsnap ink. I added a Zazi Lilac flower from Prima .
The sentiment is from Mini Messages MC176 stamp set by Impression Obsession that I stamped on a little tag and tied to the hemp cord. I added a little crystal trim to the bottom of the bag from Prima.

We had a really bad storm last night and spent an hour in our "shelter" because the tornado sirens were going off. It was really scary. We only got this little piece of hail, but we had baseball size falling down.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

{ Impression Obsession DT challenge - Black and White }

Hello and welcome to another Impression Obsession DT challenge. Post a link to your creations on our challenge post at Impression Obsession blog. If you play you could win a $25 gift certificate to the Impression Obsession store.

 Here is my card.

I stamped my white background with Cover-a-card Screen CC049. I did spray my stamp with Shimmerz Licorice spray and stamped the cardstock first, but the color was not as dark as I hoped. I stamped over that with black ink. I like the way that looks. I used EK Success border punch for my edge.
I stamped white cardstock with Cover-a-card Newsprint CC068 and punched two scalloped circles for the tissue flower and two leaves. I have a tutorial on how to make this flower.  I did spray the white tissue paper with Licorice Shimmerz Spritz.
I added a die cut lace tag under the flower and a banner sentiment with Circle Greetings CL99.
I used Mojo Monday 191 for this card.

I hope you'll take the time to visit the other designer's blogs for inspiration!

{ Impression Obsession Design Team Thursday }

I am sharing some projects I made using Impression Obsession stamps for our Design Team Thursday post

For the card I used:

I think I had some stamped paper left over from Distressed lines and I used that for my sentiment base and for the bird cage. I colored the bird with colored pencils. I know I mentioned this before, but I spray my Cover-a-card backgrounds with Glimmer Mist or Shimmerz Spritz. I use ink, too, but most of the time I use ink sprays. Here I used Apple Glimmer Mist and Blue Jeans Shimmerz Vibez for the Scrip Cover-a-card.

For the layout I used:

I love to combine little elements from different stamp sets. Here I combined Journaling II lines with Remember words and months and flowers from TypeStack All Seasons. That is a pretty awesome set to have, especially for layouts. The cardstock I used had Large Dots on it so I continued with them on the bottom half of the page and I added journaling lines from Journaling II stamp set.
Pretty easy layout with one 4x6 photo, Prima packaging, lace and flowers, two strips of paper from My Mind's Eye and Sassafras Lass.
The Remember stamp set is pretty versatile. I used it recently on a little mini album

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day.

{ CR84FN Color Challenge 27 and Mojo Monday 190 }

 The new challenge is up on SplitcoaststampersThe challenge this time is to make a card for a special woman in your life: your mom; an aunt; your daughter or your best friend. You can play along and win a Technique Tuesday stamp set. Find all the details HERE.

I am using new stamps that arrived last week from Technique Tuesday. The colors for my card are from CR84FN color challenge: Bright Pink, Gray and Cream, and Mojo Monday sketch. The Technique Tuesday box contained some other goodies that you see here...zipper and felt.

If you google zipper flowers you will get many different tutorials on how to make one. For my zipper flower I just stitched along the seam using a running stitch and after I pulled the thread this is how it turned out. I added a flower center from Prima that matched these colors perfectly. The butterfly is die cut from felt using Cuttlebug butterfly die.

The bottom is stamped using a stamp from Renaissance Remnants that I stamped in "gray ink" by mixing Frost White and Charcoal ColorBox ink from Clearsnap. The scalloped edge is a little flower from the same stamp set. The sentiment and the little butterflies are from Amazing by Ali Edwards. I stamped them on cardstock with Orchid Pastel ink and cut them out. The journaling note stamp is This Life by Ali Edwards.

{ Impression Obsession DT challenge - Favorite Image }

Hello and welcome to another Impression Obsession DT challenge. Post a link to your creations on our challenge post at Impression Obsession blog. If you play you could win a $25 gift certificate to the Impression Obsession store.

I have too many favorite images and today my favorite image was this adorable bicycle that I have used on several different cards over the years. This set is called Riding Pretty CL255 (see image below). What I love about this set is that you can use it all year long, just change the contents in the basket.

The colors for my card are from CR84FN color challenge 26 and the sketch from Card Patterns sketch 113.
I made the rosette from a journaling spot and crepe paper streamer. I trimmed the edges with decorative scissors and added ink to the edges. I stamped the journaling spot with Rose Music Background F4457.
I did cut the bike out! I colored it with markers and watercolor pencils. The base paper and flower are from Prima.

I hope you'll take the time to visit the other designer's blogs for inspiration!
