{ CR84FN Color Challenge 17 and The Sweet Stop Sketch 97 }

I received such a warm welcome for my last CR84FN challenge that I wanted to participate again. Another beautiful color combination CR84FN 17: Light pink, Dark pink, Chartreuse. I received a box of new goodies the other day and the colors were perfect for this challenge.

The paper is from the new My Mind's Eye Collection Stella and Rose and I added a little green piece from Echo Park. The beautiful doilies and the strip at the bottom are new stamps from My Mind's Eye.

I stamped two different doilies in pink and grey ink and cut them out. I adhered them to the card with foam adhesive. The middle is adorned with Tinkled Pink Audrey Rose collection from Prima Marketing.
I added ribbon, buttons and this adorable pennant from Elle's Studio new collection.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a great day!

{ Technique Tuesday SCS #321 sketch challenge }

I wanted to share a card I made using new Technique Tuesday stamp set called Love Always Wins by Ali Edwards. I used SCS sketch #321. All the new stamps are available for order and are shipping.
I stamped Technique Tuesday chip tiles with a script background stamp from Verbose. I stamped various love sentiments from the Love Always Wins set. The heart and Love is cut out and adhered with dimensional adhesive.

I made these little sketch books after I saw a blog post by Kristina Werner. She makes them all the time and has downloads on her blog for the inside pages. They are so easy to make.
I have notebooks filled with sketches that I have made/collected over the years and I thought I would give this little book a try.
I used my secret stash of my favorite papers from Basic Grey. Do you recognize them? Romani Collection. The rub-ons and letter stickers are from my old stash, too.

I made this mason jar pincushion after I saw this post by Debra Collins. No sewing needed. I had this large mason jar left over from Christmas and it was perfect for my floss storage and my pins and needles.

Have you made anything lately? Share!
Have a great weekend.

{ Mojo Monday 179 and CR84FN16 }

I fell in love with this color combination at CR84FN: Light Pink, Medium Violet and Grey. I used Core'dination white wash cardstock with Jelly Cupboard core. I embossed the cardstock with Cuttlebug embossing folder and then I sanded, lightly, over the top to reveal the core color.

I used Elle's Studio tags that I sprayed with Concrete Shimmerz Spritz. The Martha Stewart die cut and the Prima flower are sprayed with Concrete Shimmerz Spritz, as well. I added a little crepe paper ruffle under the die cut.
I used Mojo Monday 179 sketch for the card.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a great day!

{ Technique Tuesday SCS sketch challenge }

I wanted to share a card I made using new Technique Tuesday stamp set called Mon Ami Paris. I used SCS sketch #320. I just love how it turned out. I am using a mix of patterned papers here: Crate Paper and My Mind's Eye. I painted the edges with Jenni Bowlin Malted Milk paint. Love that stuff.

I stamped the Fleur De Lis flourish repeatedly over the yellow patterned paper. I stamped the Eiffel Tour on the same yellow patterned paper and cut it out.

The pearls and jewels are from Prima and so is the little flower. The ribbon is from my stash.

Enjoy your Sunday!

{ Impression Obsession DT challenge - It's a cupcake kind of day }

Hello and welcome to another Impression Obsession DT challenge. We have challenges every other week - DETAILS HERE - if you play you could win a $25 gift certificate to the Impression Obsession store.

Here is my card! I used Jen's February Sketch For You to Try.

My main image is this yummy cupcake platter that I stamped on cardstock. I colored the image with watercolor paints, cut out and adhered to this journaling card with dimensional adhesive. The clear stamp set is called Cupcake MC181. The sentiment is from Create-a-Cupcake CL228 stamp set. Both sets have the same sentiment, but I needed something across the top in a single line.

For he side strip I used Cover-a-card Splatter CC059 red rubber stamp and Glimmer Mist.

I hope you'll take the time to visit the other designer's blogs for inspiration!

***Would you like to see your card featured on the Impression Obsession blog? Email your challenge cards using Impression Obsession images to Shirley. Every week, cards will be selected to showcase on the Impression Obsession blog!!!

{ Technique Tuesday red and pink challenge }

Here is a little card I made for a challenge that is posted on  Technique Tuesday board at Splitcoast, red and pink. You have until February 18th to complete the challenge...and there is Prize...a new stamp set called Sweet Somethings. You can use any stamps that you want.
The color inspiration came from Embellish Color Trends Challenge.

 I used a new set by Ali Edwards called Love Always Wins. I stamped the little hearts on cardstock and cut them out. I adhered them on the little doily that I cut out of patterned paper. The box sentiment is cut out with decorative edge scissors. I haven't used those in a long time. I sprayed my seam binding with SWAK Glimmer Mist to match the card background.

I added little green Prima flower to the bow with a heart pin and a button. I used Martha Stewart twine to tie the cut out sentiment to the bow.

I hope you will join us for the challenge.
You can see all the new stamps at Technique Tuesday.

{ Papertrey Ink Tag Download Challenge }

Papertrey Ink is celebrating their 4 year anniversary and today there is a free PTI Anniversary Tag Download  and a challenge to create a project.  Here is my card using Melissa Bickford's tag.

I opened my images in Adobe Photoshop and copied this image five times on a new page. I removed the writing from four of the images for printing. I cut the images out and created a little scalloped border and used the main image for the center. I colored the cloud polka dots with yellow marker and the rainbow with watercolor. I used Chai ink and PTI buttons. The papers are from October Afternoon and My Mind's Eye. I added a little border at the top from Sassafras Lass.

In other news...we had some record braking freezing temperatures all week. Ice on the road since Tuesday and then we got snowed in on Friday. We couldn't leave the house. It was a mess out there but we did get to play in the snow and Alex had so much fun!
