{ Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge No. 21 }

 Sarah posted a beautiful card for the sketch challenge and I loved it so much I had to make a card.

I had some extra Summer mini kits left over from my Etsy store and the little bag was perfect for the sketch. I used October Afternoon patterned paper for the card base. I added the crepe paper ruffle that I sprayed with Glimmer Mist. The bag is stamped with Impression Obsession stamp Silhouette 11 and Hampton Art stamps. I punched Prima Marketing paper with Martha Stewart punch and added a little jewel from Kaiser Craft.
The tag on the inside is stamped with the same Silhouette 11 stamp. I tied ribbon to the top that I got at JoAnns. The little bags are from Michaels and they are perfect for these tags. The tag can be used for another card or a gift.

 I wanted to share a photo of Alex eating the Halloween cupcakes he helped me make last night.

Happy Halloween!

{ Technique Tuesday A Borderlicious challenge }

It doesn't feel like Fall here in Texas, but I made these Fall creations for Prima's blog using new papers and flowers.

Paisley Road Paper - 841713
Kalanchoe Felt Flower- Mocha - 542481
Autumn Leaves September - 539672
Fairy Flora Journaling sticker -541620

Are you signed up for Prima Newsletter? If you are not you can sign up here .I created this tag set for the October Newsletter. You don't have to use Halloween themed paper to make Halloween projects. Paisley Road had the Halloween colors I wanted to use. I die cut a 1 1/2 inch circle for the moon and I drew the bat by hand. The felt stem added to the Halloween theme. I followed the same design from the tag to the brown sack and I added the orange flower to make it look elegant.

{ Technique Tuesday Wordy Words challenge }

Teri has a new challenge posted at Splitcoaststamers message board. "Your challenge is to make card that uses stamped words on it in some way. You can make a card with a stamped sentiment. You can make a card with a background paper created with several different word stamps. You can even make a card with a shapes created with stamped words. The sky is the limit here." See all the info HERE.
You have until Oct. 19th to complete the Wordy Words challenge.
***You do not need to use Technique Tuesday stamps. If you do, you get an extra entry for the PRIZE.

For my card I used  Day In Day Out stamp set to stamp the days of the week on Jenni Bowlin journaling card. For the sentiment I used Simply Stated set. I used my Cricut Expression to cut the card shape. It's so easy, I should do it more often. After I adhered patterned paper I painted the edges with yellow paint. The flower is from Orchard Mix collection by Prima.
I hope you have time to play with us.

{ Impression Obsession DT challenge - Color challenge - coffee/pumpkin/nutmeg }

Hello and welcome to another Impression Obsession DT challenge. We have challenges every other week - DETAILS HERE - if you play you could win a $25 gift certificate to the Impression Obsession store.

Coffee/pumpkin/nutmeg -- what a fun color mix. I always have to look around what I have to make sure the colors match. Did I get the nutmeg right? I looked in my spice jar just to be sure. This is my interpretation of the color challenge.

I used Cover-a-Card Roses (CC043) for the card base stamped in Pumpkin Pie. I made the scalloped border from very dark patterned paper (coffee) from Pink Paislee. I stamped Flourish 1 (F5549) with Versamark and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. I sprayed the background with Rusty Bottom Vibez and Terra Cotta Shimmerz Spritz to get my "nutmeg" color.  The sentiment is from a new set called Count Your Blessings (CL286). I had to bring little more pumpkin to the front with the butterflies from Butterfly Bliss (CL171).

I hope you'll take the time to visit the other designers' blogs for inspiration! Jenny, Dina, Kathy, Laura, Julie, Shirley and Deborah.

***Would you like to see your card featured on the Impression Obsession blog? Email your challenge cards using Impression Obsession images to Shirley. Every week, cards will be selected to showcase on the Impression Obsession blog!!!

You have until midnight this Friday  to enter your card. A random winner will be selected from the submissions to receive a $25 Impression Obsession gift certificate! You can find all the info HERE.

{ Pumpkin Patch }

Fall is creeping in. Mornings are cooler and the days are tolerable. We are continuing with our traditional visit to the local Pumpkin Patch. Getting pictures is a little harder. Alex wants to run around and pick up all the little pumpkins he can find. When it was time to go he didn't want to leave. It was still pretty hot this Friday.

I feel like I should have a fall/pumpkin card, but I don't. I do have a Technique Tuesday card that I made for a challenge to use markers.

I stamped five bird houses from Home Tweet Home that I colored with markers. I added little pearls on the top of each house. The sentiment is from Simply Stated and it fits perfectly in the space. I stamped clouds from The Weather Report on patterned paper that I cut out and machine stitched to the card.

Alex was sick last night and today all day and I am exhausted. He is finally sleeping for the night, I hope. Poor little baby.

I made some Cranberry-Pumpkin cookies for the PTA meeting that I didn't get to go to this morning and I have been snacking on them all day.

Have a great night.
