{ Beate's weekend sketch challenge # 8 }

Another wonderful sketch on Beate's blog if anyone wants to play. I was very inspired by all my goodies that I got yesterday. I should take a photo to show you all the cool stuff. It's getting dark now, maybe tomorrow.
All the patterned paper is by My Mind's Eye. The flowers are cut out from patterned paper. Chipboard circle frame is from Creative Imaginations, ribbon is May Arts, Around The Block tag. I got a box of Around The Block tags, but I don't have that tagger tool, so I just tied the ribbon in the hole and that works.

{ Sketch this cards # 18 }

I didn't have any birthdays in June, but I have several coming up in July and August. The sketch from Sketch this: cards blog was perfect for this card. Don't you just love this bright Doodlebug paper? It came today in my goodie box from Cards magazine. Well, I got two goodie boxes, one for June and one for July. I have to say that these are the best boxes ever!!! There are so many wonderful things to play with. Patterned paper, ribbon and stickers are from Doodlebug Design Inc., SU cardstock and the chipboard tag is from Creative Imaginations.

{ Impression Obsession sneak peek }

Well, here it is!!!! Impression Obsession has new stamps coming out, Fall-Winter catalog. The stamps will be available July 23. I know it's summer, but this snowflake is so cute. Plus, now is a perfect time for those winter submissions. I used the same snowflake for my background. I don't have a great selection of inks, I really need to get some. These are by Sugarloaf. It was one of those collection packs you get at JoAnn. SU cardstock, Creative Imaginations patterned paper, American Crafts ribbon.

{ Not enough time }

There are so many wonderful challenges and card sketches, just not enough time. I spent last night watching the news and waiting for the rain storm to pass. It rained for 3 hours straight.
Here is a little card I made. Nana's Kids collection patterned paper and rub-ons (stitches and sentiment) are from Die Cuts With A View. May Arts ribbon, Heidi Swapp ghost shape star.

{ More Pageframe Designs }

As I mentioned before Pageframe Designs is the sponsor this month at Create My Keepsake. This scalloped Pageframe is my favorite. I was worried about how to adhere all my paper to the clear Pageframe, but it all worked out. I hid all my glue dots behind my rub-ons that I applied on top of the Pageframe. All the supplies here are from Love Elsie and ribbon is May Arts.
I love this little Pageframe tag. I backed it with Cherry Arte patterned paper and a vellum quote from K&Company. Star eyelets are from Scrappopotamus. I stamped on the right edge with Fiskars clear stamp. To the top I added another Pageframe star shape and letter "d" from Li'l Davis Designs.
How about a little ornament? I though these Pageframe star shapes were perfect. The little star fit perfectly into the big one and I attached it with a jump ring. Crop-A-Dile works great! Scenic Route patterned paper, Frances Meyer rub-ons and jingle bells.

{ CPS sketch #18 }

Here is the sketch for this week. This is was so easy. I am still using my Paper Salon patterned paper from the Rugged collection. The chipboard coaster is from Creative Imaginations. The circle I cut out from the patterned paper using my scalloped scissors. The little screw eyelet and the sticker are from Making Memories. That eyelet has a really hard back and I couldn't set it with my Crop-A-Dile. The back broke off so I just used a glue dot. I have a regular eyelet setter, but I figured since I couldn't do it with the Crop-A-Dile I wasn't going to hammer it with my hammer. Maybe I was doing something wrong.

{ Friends }

Melissa Phillips has a wonderful challenge on her blog today. Melissa makes beautiful cards and I am so inspired by her. She wants us to make a card incorporating her favorite things: buttons, polka dots, ribbon, chipboard and a heart. As soon as I read that this morning I went to work.
I couldn't remember if I had any polka dot paper in these colors and I didn't have time to look. Sometimes when I get an idea in my head I just have to do it. I stamped my white card with a flower center from Stampin' Up Heartfelt Thanks set. I keep this little stamp out with all of my other supplies. All the other supplies are from Heidi Grace Designs ( I love her stuff ), Prima flowers, The Beadery heart jewels, May Arts ribbon, Making Memories letter stickers.
I stay up late so I have been writing my blog late at night. Lately, I have been falling asleep. I should start doing it earlier in the day.

{ Pageframe Designs }

Pageframe Designs is the sponsor this month at Create My Keepsake. This was my first time working with Pageframes and it was so easy and fun. This is a 6 x 6 Pageframe. I cut the patterned paper the same size and adhered my overlays and photo on top and then just slipped it in the frame. I applied all the rub-ons and embellishments on top.
Supplies: BasicGrey patterned paper and rub-ons, DCWV rub-ons, Jenni Bowlin flower, Darice rhinestones, Cherry Arte chipboard, Love word and definition overlay Daisy D's.

There is a Pageframe contest going on at Create My Keepsake for some awesome prizes. Post your Pageframe creation in our contest gallery for a chance to win. Need some inspiration, check out our DT gallery.

Bethany asked where I got married? There was another wedding photo on a previous post. We got married on Maui, Hawaii, on Makena Cove Beach.

{ How about a fall card ??? }

I just wanted to share this little card I made some time ago. I got this set because of this basket. This little card is in the current issue of Paper Crafts Stamp It! Cards 2007. Stamps are from SU. I used VersaMark for my background stamping. Marvy Uchida scalloped punch, Darice hemp cord, Sizzix die cut tag, Making Memories safety pin. The sentiment is from the same stamp set I only inked a part of the sentiment.

{ DT weekly challenge }

It is my turn to do a challenge this week at Create My Keepsake. My challenge is to try stamping on paper flowers for a different looking layout. This could work for a card, but since I mostly create cards I wanted to do a layout. This was really easy and fun. I used Impression Obsession Solid Florals stamp on my flowers and words from Family clear stamp set. Basic Grey patterned paper, Frances Meyer cardstock, Hobby Lobby, Prima and Bazzill Blossoms flowers, and Prima embossed hearts.
If you want to play post your creation in our gallery or link me to your blog.

{ Stamp It! Cards 2007 }

I got my copy of Stamp It! Cards 2007 yesterday and I see so many familiar names and beautiful creations. This "Bon Voyage" card is on page 59 and it looks so pretty. La Tour Eiffel-Paris stamp is from Stampabilities. I can't even remember where I bought it, I just know I loved everything with the Eiffel Tower after I went to Paris last summer. Heart doodle stamp is from Paper Salon. Bon Voyage and touring postmark are rub-ons from Frances Meyer, ribbon is May Arts and patterned paper is Zsiage.

{ Valerie sent me a card }

I got this adorable card from Valerie Salmon earlier in the week and I am just now posting it. I wanted to enjoy it for couple of days before I had to share. She is so sweet. It's like a little purse and it flips open. I adore this patterned paper. So cute. Thanks Valerie.

{ Mod Flowers }

Mod Flowers from Impression Obsession is the clear stamp set I used to make this card. The sentiment is from Circle Greetings set. The card is from The Paper Cut and it came with the windows cut out. You can't tell in the photo, but the cardstock is shimmery. I lightly traced the openings to the inside of the card and then stamped the images in those squares. I erased the pencil lines afterwards. I stamped two large flowers on separate sheet and cut them out.

{ I love flowers }

Isn't this stamp beautiful? I stamped several images on watercolor paper and just colored. I used my watercolor pencils. I think they are the easiest to work with. All the stamps are from Impression Obsession. The cardstock is from The Paper Cut, May Arts ribbon and a safety pin from Making Memories.

{ Impression Obsession goodies are here !!! }

This is the reason I didn't post anything yesterday...I got this huge box from Impression Obsession and I didn't know what to play with first. What a wonderful mixture of acrylic and rubber stamps. The rubber stamps are on cling cushion for easy storage in this three ring binder. There are several more pages in the binder that I can't show you because they are new stamps, not yet released, that I got to pick out from the new catalog. They will be available in July. They have so many beautiful stamps. If you haven't checked out their website, you need to.

{ Beate's weekend sketch challenge # 5 }

Beate has a wonderful Gate card sketch this time. I made a card with no stamping on it. The patterned paper is Die Cuts With A View from Nana's Kids collection. Ribbon is American Crafts. I cut up the letters from matching patterned paper and adhered them over the seam. The card is small, 4 x 4 inches, and all the letters wouldn't fit, but I like that they hang out like that. Fast and easy.

I have several new cards to share I just haven't photographed them yet. Here is one that was featured in Cards magazine March 2007. I made it so long ago that I only have a scanned version of it. I used Autumn Leaves flourish stamps and Impression Obsession sentiment stamp. The little flowers and brads are from Making Memories, paper is 7 gypsies and OHOM.
Beate has another sketch challenge going on. I have a card made...I will post it tomorrow.

{ Jen's sketch challenge }

Jen at Pieces Of Me started a weekly sketch challenge. Go and check it out. I worked on this card for several days...you know how sometimes it just takes forever and nothing works out. I finished it and I like it.
The card base is Die Cuts With A View white glitter scalloped card. The flowers are my new Stamps by Judith I got the other day. I colored them with SU markers. The pot is from Stamps by Judith, as well. Round journaling stamp is by Autumn Leaves and this Brenda Walton sentiment stamp fits perfectly inside. { Paper Crafts goodies arrived }

They arrived yesterday. I was so happy. I just couldn't wait to get that Cosmo Cricket Dutch Girl collection papers. I don't know why, I just love those colors and I can't wait to make something fun. Halfway Cafe collection came in the package, as well, and I was surprised to see that. This is my prize package for winning Top 15 at Paper Crafts Gallery Idol Challenge last month.

I was at a bookstore today and Paper Crafts Stamp It! Cards 2007 is out. I have three cards published in that magazine. One card is an on line feature and there is a small photo in the magazine. You can see a list of products and instructions here.
I saw many familiar names in there.

{ I couldn't wait }

I just had to play with my new stamps this morning. They are so cute and fun. Scenic Route patterned paper and Brenda Walton sentiment stamp. I inked all edges with Ranger ink. Flowers are cut out from patterned paper.

{ New stuff }

I went to the Great American Scrapbook Convention today and this is all I came back with. I couldn't believe it. Judith was there from Stamps by Judith, same booth every year. I just enjoy watching her stamp. She has wonderful ideas and the cutest stamps.
I spotted these little birds on several blogs recently and today I found them, by accident, and I had to have them. I will have to play with them soon.
Have a great night. I need to rest.

{ Thank you Cathy }

I have to show you this adorable thank you card I received yesterday from Cathy. She won my blog candy couple of weeks ago. It is stunning. I love the adorable stamped image, the embossed background, my name, colors...and everything. Thank you Cathy.

{ Love Elsie }

I couldn't wait to get my hands on this new paper line by Elsie Flannigan and I only made two cards with it so far. Check out Create My Keepsake for Love Elsie. I used new Prima flowers, chipboard flourish is from Fancy Pants. I covered it with patterned paper and used these awesome tools to sand around all the curves. I used my Marvy Uchida scalloped punch and added some doodles with my pink pen from Target. I stamped "hi" with my new KI stamps, ink is from SU.Tomorrow I am going to the Great American Scrapbook Convention in Arlington. I am not taking any classes this time around. I love to walk around and look at everything. Hopefully I will have photos to share.

I got my box of goodies today from Paper Crafts Gallery Idol Contest, some cute stuff, I will have to post tomorrow (or Friday).

I am waiting for my box of goodies from Impression Obsession and I hope it gets here soon. We got to pick out some new, not yet released, stamps. I can't wait.

{ CPS sketch #16 }

Here is the sketch for this week. Easy and fast card. I am still using Paper Salon patterned paper. Yes, I have other manufactrers, it's just that this paper is on top of my desk, within reach. It's really messy around here again. All the paper is from Paper Salon, rub-ons are from Creative Imaginations. "Smile" is clear acrylic stamp from Fiskars. I used SU ink. I would say less than 10 minutes to make this card.

{ Foam Stamps }

This card was stamped with Heidi Swap foam stamps. I love hearts and stars. I got this set at Hobby Lobby couple of weeks ago when they were 50% off. I have several Making Memories sets, too. I love using them with paint and they are so easy to wash of.

For the stamps I used Making Memories paint, Autumn Leaves patterned paper, and the little sticker is from Love, Elsie.

I didn't get to post yesterday because I was sick. I feel better today.

{ Beate's weekend sketch challenge #4 }

Another wonderful sketch challenge from Beate. I am still playing with my Paper Salon goodies. I just love these colors. All the stamps are clear stamps from Michaels except the little butterfly, he is from Rubber Stamp Tapestry. I just used basic colored pencils to color the image. I will have to get those Prismacolor pencils after all. I would love to hear your suggestions or recommendations.
***ETA: I didn't notice, but someone pointed out that the little sentiment is missing letter "l" in "little". I read about a stamp from Michaels that was misspelled, but never found out which one. Now I know. Oh, well.

{ Paper Salon goodies and CPS sketch #15 }

I had to make a card with these adorable papers from Paper Salon that I received yesterday. I love to work with bright colors. CPS sketch #15 was perfect for this except I didn't use any sparkle. The stamped images are from Paper Salon Oh Sew Fun stamp set. I used Pink Passion cardstock and ink from SU. The sentiment stamp is from Michaels and ribbon is May Arts.
I am working on Beate's sketch challenge and maybe this time I will have it posted on time :)
